Avaya Launches 'Powered by Avaya' to Enable Middle East SMB Customers to Move to Cloud

avaya-logoDubai, UAE, United Arab Emirates, 2017/03/15 - TOPAZ to be first partner in Middle East and North Africa region to deliver “Powered by Avaya” cloud offering to its end-user customers - Avaya.com. NASDAQ: RVSN Avaya announced today the launch of its “Powered by Avaya” cloud offering, designed to address the growing needs of mid-market companies in the Middle East for cloud-based communications solutions. TOPAZ will be the first partner authorized to provide the offering in the region. Small-to-medium sized companies account for around 90 per cent of registered businesses in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). With the public cloud services market in the region projected to reach $1.2billion this year, according to Gartner, Avaya sees significant potential for channel partners that want to offer the same rich communications experiences customers expect from Avaya solutions delivered on-premises as cloud-based offerings. The “Powered by Avaya” cloud offering enables channel partners to deliver Avaya’s unified communications (UC), contact centre (CC) and video conferencing (VC) solutions in the way that best meets their end-user customers’ needs. Avaya partners can offer a full range of solutions on-premises, hybrid cloud or fully-hosted allowing customers to manage their migration to the cloud at their own pace. Avaya channel partners who wish to host and maintain Avaya cloud services in their own data centres can now sell “Powered by Avaya” services directly to customers, with the option to wrap additional services around the core product, as well as continuing to sell the full portfolio of Avaya solutions. Avaya is also working with key wholesale distribution partners to deliver a complete cloud solution for partners including billing, provisioning, and other back-end systems. Channel partners will be able to focus on building innovative solutions for their end-user customers and deliver future-proof communications experiences. Khalid Khan, Director of Midmarket and Cloud, MEA & APAC, Avaya, said: “The mid-market sector constitutes a large majority of the enterprise population in the MENA region and is a crucial driver of the regional economy. However this sector is often overlooked, with vendors either focusing on larger enterprise customers, or providing solutions that don’t deliver the scalability, resiliency, and flexibility mid-market customers are looking for. “Powered by Avaya” provides these mid-sized businesses with access to a robust business-grade cloud option to unlock the advantages of high-quality cloud-based communications.” Jamal Turki, Managing Director, TOPAZ, said: “As SMBs in the region increasingly look at adopting cloud-based solutions, we want to be able to give them the assurance of working with a market-leading vendor. Powered by Avaya gives us the freedom to work with our customers in a way that suits them, helping them to digitally transform their businesses at their own pace and path.” About Avaya Avaya (avaya.com) enables the mission critical, real-time communication applications of the world’s most important operations.
