Brownstein Names Rich Benenson and Rob Kaufmann New Members of the Firm’s Executive Committee

September 8,  2017 - Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce leadership promotions within the firm.  Rich Benensonand  Rob Kaufmann have been named members of the firm’s Executive Committee (EC). They join the firm’s current EC members  Adam AgronMarc LampkinElizabeth PaulsenEllen Schulhofer and  Scott Slater. The EC, including Agron, the firm’s managing partner, guide the strategic direction of the firm. Benenson and Kaufmann replace shareholders  Steve Demby and  John McDermott who have transitioned off the EC after completing their terms. “Both Rich and Rob have been instrumental in the growth of the firm and as leaders, we expect to see great things from them as they help guide the firm into its second generation,” said Agron. “Both Rich and Rob are dedicated not only in the work they do for the firm and their clients, but they’re also committed to making our communities a better place.” A senior litigator and also co-chair of Brownstein’s Litigation Department, Rich is known for his enviable track record defending companies in complex litigation, antitrust, consumer protection, business torts, class actions and securities matters. He regularly defends officers and directors in shareholder/investor claims of wrongful conduct and breach of fiduciary duty. He also helps clients avoid litigation by advising them on consumer protection and audit topics and strategies. A strategic problem solver, Rob is known for bringing the right players to the table to complete real estate deals. For decades, his clients have relied on his unparalleled knowledge of both the legal and business sides of the real estate market.
