CallTower Selects Voxbone to Connect its Cloud-based Microsoft Lync 2013 Service to the PSTN Globally

As the only inbound SIP trunking provider certified with Lync 2013, Voxbone enables CallTower to extend the reach of its UC services to 50+ countries SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – September 16, 2014Voxbone today announced it was selected by CallTower, a leading provider of cloud-based enterprise-class unified communications (UC) solutions, to connect its UC service, CallTower Complete 2013 for Lync, to the PSTN. As part of the agreement, Voxbone will provide CallTower’s multinational customers with geographical, mobile and toll-free telephone numbers from more than 50 countries. Voxbone will also provide number portability from more than 35 countries to migrate enterprises with a traditional ISDN-based telephone service and PBX to CallTower’s services. As stated in a recent report published by MarketsandMarkets, “the unified communication-as-a-service (UCaaS) market is forecast to grow from $13.10 billion in 2014 to $23.34 billion in 2019.” It is clear that the market and revenue potential for a robust UCaaS solution is massive, with no signs of slowing down. Microsoft Lync Enterprise Voice and Office 365 are significant solutions driving this growth. CallTower is the industry leader of hosted voice-enabled Lync solutions for large and mid-size enterprises. Its solutions are also available to other service providers as a white-label offering. Voxbone is the market leader in providing licensed international inbound SIP trunks (also known as DIDs), and the only to be certified with Microsoft Lync 2013. It allows enterprises and hosted service providers such as CallTower to provide a local telephone service in over 50 countries without any capital network investments and with minimal carrier relations management. Voxbone’s local telephone numbers can be used not only as local SIP trunks, but also as audio conferencing dial-in numbers, or virtual international phone numbers for Lync-powered contact centers. “As our customer base and partner network grows, demand for expanding our UC services internationally has grown,” said Bret England, President and CEO of CallTower. “Three elements made us choose Voxbone as a partner to achieve this: its Lync 2013 certification, its reputation for providing high quality services, and its real-time provisioning capability.” “In the few years since it was introduced, Microsoft Lync quickly became the dominant enterprise UC platform, and is likely to become the basis for most market-leading cloud communications services,” said Voxbone CEO Itay Rosenfeld. “We strongly believe that CallTower’s long-standing experience in deploying Microsoft Lync, combined with its unique enterprise voice add-on, positions the company for a successful international expansion.” More at www.voxbone.com.
