Edgewater Networks Names Mike Ward Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

San Jose, CA – December 5, 2014 – Edgewater Networks, Inc. announced today that Mike Ward has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Mr. Ward brings 25 years of sales and leadership experience in the telecom and networking space to his new role, having led organizations in early-stage, turnaround and established market leader growth phases. He will be responsible for leading the global sales team, managing company growth and driving aggressive global sales initiatives. “Edgewater Networks is well positioned for growth as the much buzzed about SDN and NFV market takes shape. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Metaswitch Networks, where he spent nine years building and leading the company’s worldwide sales organization. Mr. Ward and his team succeeded in driving revenues and growth from early stage to a market leadership position. He held similar positions at Paradyne Networks and Corvis Corporation, leading the companies’ sales teams in domestic and international sales endeavors. Additionally, Mr. Ward was Vice President of Sales at Ascend Communications, now Lucent Technologies, where he led a team with annual revenues over $500 million.
