GLOBALINX Completes Company-wide Fitness Challenge

globalinx-logoRochester, NY (January 13, 2014) – Local voice and data provider GLOBALINX is bringing a focus towards healthy living, starting right in house with its employees.

To help address the growing concerns seen nationwide, local voice and data provider GLOBALINX instituted a company-wide health and wellness challenge.

Spanning the course of 12 weeks from October through December, a total of 59 company employees participated in a team-based challenge geared towards improving overall health through weight loss and healthy eating. As an incentive, a total of $1000 was awarded to the top three teams with the highest percentage of total weight lost during the 12-week period, as well as the individual with the single highest percentage of weight lost during the competition. Human Resources Director Denise Mooney praised the efforts of those who took part in the competition. “ We are always exploring new and fun ways to keep health and wellness at the forefront of our employees’ minds.  Helping our employees stay healthy and get fit is a win/win for everyone.
