Oxford Networks Selects BroadSoft to Power Hosted UC Service for SMB Market

Oxford Networks deploys BroadCloud to introduce feature-rich, affordable hosted unified communications services GAITHERSBURG, Md., January 29, 2015   – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT) today announced that Oxford Networks, an award winning technology solutions provider based in Lewiston, Maine, has selected its BroadCloud®  managed services to power Oxford Networks Cloud Branch Exchange (ONcbx), a cloud-based business communications service designed for small and medium sized businesses (SMB) that extends beyond standard telephony features to include video calling and conferencing, mobility, unified messaging, and other in-demand hosted unified communications (UC) services. According to an August 2014 Infonetics report, the global hosted PBX and UC services market is expected to grow from $8.5B in 2014 to $12.3B by 2018. The rapid adoption of these hosted services has created the need for service providers to explore faster service delivery models to meet customer demand for unified communications services without the associated, capital, lease, or maintenance costs of a premises-based telephony system. Oxford Networks selected BroadCloud for in-demand UC capabilities that can be rapidly delivered to their SMB customers, speeding time to new service revenues. BroadCloud offers service providers a complete managed hosted service from BroadSoft’s cloud infrastructure, while covering the full business customer life-cycle, from initial quote to service activation to support, in addition to providing PBX and UC services . ONcbx, powered by BroadCloud, delivers a range of key benefits to SMB customers, including:
  • A flexible hosted UC offering that extends across all business locations – including remote sites and mobile users – without the need to purchase and maintain office telephony systems at each location.
  • Self-service web portals with easy to administer functions for faster service and reduced admin costs.
  • Mobile phone integration and a single mobile app to access UC services.
“Our decision to collaborate with BroadSoft was based on their comprehensive approach to Unified Communications and experience delivering top-notch service to their customers,” said Alan Marblestone, director of product management, Oxford Networks.  “BroadSoft’s services will provide our customers with the communications tools they need to efficiently and effectively run their businesses. Their collaborative approach towards evolving the product ensures that our customers will have a voice on the new features and functionality they require.  A critical differentiator of cloud-based product delivery is that customers receive the latest features without having to pay for costly upgrades to premises-based telephone systems.  This is the future of business productivity systems and our customers have access to it today.” “We are thrilled to support Oxford Networks’ vision to provide small and medium businesses with innovative, cloud-delivered unified communication services,” said Ken Rokoff, vice president, BroadCloud, BroadSoft. “With its powerful UC capabilities and fully operationalized end-to-end business processes, BroadCloud enables service providers like Oxford Networks to create a differentiated service offer that meets the needs of their business customers.” - See more at: http://www.broadsoft.com/news/oxford-networks-selects-broadsoft-power-hosted-uc-service-smb-market/#sthash.fFDehWwt.dpuf
