Rod Freeman Joins The Lawyer’s Hot 100

London – January 29, 2018 – The Lawyer has named Cooley international products partner Rod Freeman to its annual Hot 100 list. “Freeman’s practice boils down to one word: risk. And in an increasingly tech-driven world, the nature of that risk is changing constantly,” reported The Lawyer in its commentary on the list. “More than a decade ago, Freeman was one of the few lawyers to spot the importance of product safety regulation … Freeman is ensuring he, and his clients, stay ahead of those changes ... Cooley’s growing reputation for handling business critical cases is only likely to be enhanced by his arrival.” In May 2017, Cooley bolstered its product compliance & product liability practice with the addition of Freeman to its thriving London office. Recognized as one of the world’s leading international products lawyers, Freeman has a background in high-stakes product liability litigation and has devoted more than 20 years to international products law. He works with major tech companies to counsel on product launches, compliance issues and product litigation. The Legal 500 UK recently recognized Freeman as a leading  lawyer in the product liability category. “It is humbling to be named to The Lawyer’s UK Hot 100 list,” Freeman said. “I share this recognition with my brilliant colleagues at Cooley who are highly motivated, like me, by working with clients whose visions are changing the world.” Cooley’s product compliance & product liability practice, headed by Freeman, is a market leader in managing regulatory investigations, litigation, product recalls, risk assessments and international compliance. BTI Consulting Group named Cooley a  powerhouse firm in the product liability category, and the practice recently further bolstered its ranks with the addition of  partner William O’Connor.
