[NASDAQ: SCSC], and value-added distributor of voice, video and data convergence solutions, today announced a Unified Communications cloud offering powered by the Avaya IP Office™ Platform. This new solution, based on Avaya’s flagship collaboration platform for small and midsize businesses, will be hosted by ViaWest, the leading colocation, managed services, and cloud provider in North America.

Offered through ScanSource Catalyst, this cloud solution enables resellers to deliver the same rich, work-from-anywhere communications experience as if the IP Office Platform were deployed on premise, but in a streamlined, pay-per-user-per-month model.

What’s more, through a partnership with Avaya Financial Services, ScanSource Catalyst will also provide leasing options around the remaining on-premise hardware, including Avaya phones, routers and switches, allowing for the entire communication solution to be billed monthly – a significant advantage to customers seeking an operating expense approach to their infrastructure.
