Vonage Celebrates 100th U.S. Patent

HOLMDEL, N.J., Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE: VG), a leading provider of cloud communications services for businesses and consumers, today was granted its 100 th patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Vonage's 98th, 99th and 100th Patents Vonage was granted three patents today, marking its 98 th, 99 th and 100 th issued patents:
  • U.S. Pat. Nos. 9,203,593 and 9,203,906, each entitled "Systems and Methods for Enabling Data Communications to a Telephony Device," cover algorithms for minimizing battery usage by VoIP communications on mobile devices, by varying the frequency of background signaling between the device and the VoIP provider's network.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 9,203,969, "Apparatus and Methods for Integrating Information from Voice Over Internet Calling Systems and Social Networking Systems," provides a system for recommending links between users on a social network based on their communication histories and activity on a phone system.
