Adamo installs high-speed Internet in 10,500 homes in Foz and sponsors the municipality's soccer club

  • The company adds Fazouro, Nois, Cangas de Foz and Cordido to the rest of the council's towns, which already have service.
  • More than 300 families are linked to the sports entity, whose members can benefit from free Internet at home for 4 months by contracting packages with a 23, 50 or 80 GB mobile line and Amazon gift vouchers for an amount of 25 euros.
  • The company provides signal to 50,000 homes in Lugo, among other towns, in Begonte, Cervo, A Fonsagrada, Celeiro or Barreiros.
  • The operator will add another 26,500 homes in the province in the next two years to exceed the 76,000 properties connected with the fastest fiber optic on the market today (1,000 Mbps).
Foz - April 9, 2021 - Up to 10,500 homes in Foz already have  Adamo's high-speed Internet connection . By adding Fazouro, Nois, Cangas de Foz and Cordido to its network, the company covers all localities that belong to the municipality. Its mayor, Francisco Cajoto, supports and follows the deployment of the equipment. In this way, the operator continues with its expansion in Lugo, a province in which it already supplies the fastest optical fiber that exists today in the market (1,000 Mbps) to 50,000 homes. Among other councils, in Begonte, Cervo, A Fonsagrada or Barreiros, as well as in the parish of Celeiro. Sponsor of Club Deportivo Foz In addition to providing this much-needed infrastructure, the company financially supports the municipality's soccer team, to which more than 300 families are linked and which are active in the Galicia Preferred League. By virtue of the agreement signed with its president, José María García Rivero, the company also offers footballers free Internet at home for 4 months when contracting packages with a 23, 50 or 80 GB mobile line -the offer remains in 3 months with 9 GB- and Amazon gift vouchers for an amount of 25 euros. This sponsorship is in line with Adamo's line of growing hand in hand with the environment in which it operates, supporting the community in which it develops. More than 76,500 addresses in Lugo This step in Foz is part of the company's firm commitment to this Galician province, in which it will install high-speed Internet for 26,530 properties throughout 2021 and 2022. Added to the current 50,000, Adamo will reach a total that exceeds the 76,500 homes in its Lugo network over the next two years. About 6 million in PEBA aid for Lugo This growth is supported, on the one hand, by grants from  the New Generation Broadband Program (PEBA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, which is co-financed by the European Union (EU). Altogether, Adamo was awarded 80 million euros to provide fiber optics to nearly 500,000 homes located in 20 provinces. Of that budget, more than 5.8 million will be allocated to the installation of this infrastructure in Lugo to facilitate, thus, the communication of the aforementioned 26,530 homes. On the other hand, this expansion is also possible thanks to the investments of Adamo, which will add its own capital for the deployment of high-speed Internet. The coronavirus does not stop the expansion of Adamo In this sense, given the current situation, it should be noted that the company's growth rate is hardly influenced by the emergence of COVID-19: the operator brings fiber optics to 25,000 new homes per month in Spain despite the pandemic. Adamo Fiber Optic Advantages The current times - marked by the coronavirus - require telecommunications companies to be able to satisfy the enormous demand that exists for a quality Internet connection. For this, as already mentioned, Adamo offers the fastest fiber optic on the market (1,000 Mbps), which translates into being able to telecommute with a stable connection, maintain videoconferences without interruptions, and be closer to family and friends who live far away. , make remote medical appointments, buy online, have the possibility to access education remotely or watch series or enjoy  online video games  , among other options. Adamo collaborates in establishing population in rural areas In addition, the operator supports the development and stabilization of the rural population, thus favoring the competitiveness of those areas that have been losing inhabitants to make them an attractive option to live. In the present circumstances it is imperative not to leave anyone behind. Both those who already reside in villages, towns and small cities and those who, due to the scenario lit by the coronavirus, choose to move to a smaller municipality. ABOUT ADAMO: Adamo, based in Barcelona, is an operator with a national vocation, but with a regional and local business focus. Present in the Spanish market since 2007, the company gives priority to rural areas and new urban areas with a high population density, providing the fastest optical fiber on the market (1,000 Mbps). EQT Partners, Adamo's investment fund and majority shareholder, supports its current expansion plan, boosted at the beginning of 2020 with 250 million euros. Likewise, Adamo is the main winner of the New Generation Broadband Program (PEBA-NGA 2020-2022), funded by the State and the EU, having received 80 million in grants to bring high-speed Internet to nearly 500,000 homes located in rural areas of 20 provinces. Thanks to having 10,000 kilometers of its own network, in addition to the Internet, Adamo provides fixed and mobile telephony customers in 700 municipalities throughout the country , as well as services for the business and wholesale market.
