Mr. Steen will participate in the session “New Revenue Opportunities: Key to Affording FTTH” on April 16 th at 8:00 am. In his remarks, he will discuss the tremendous recurring revenue potential that local service providers can realize through the deployment of smart home, business, farm, and healthcare services using the FTTH infrastructure that is commonly deployed. Using examples from recent implementations of Clear2there’s Viewbiquity Cloud Application Suite (VCAS), Mr. Steen will provide a brief overview of smart-premise technology and deployment architectures. In addition, he will outline a variety of services that operating companies could offer to capture recurring revenue while satisfying customer demand and improving customer stickiness. “Service providers that have invested in building-out FTTH services are eager to identify new and untapped revenue streams that can accelerate the return on this substantial investment, while also delivering greater value to their customers,” said Steen. “The ready availability of substantial bandwidth to the customer premise opens the door to a wide range of high-value advanced services that can be implemented with limited incremental cost using a hybrid smart-premise service delivery architecture. This hybrid solution model provides an efficient balance of Central Office-based, datacenter-based, and cloud-based resources to ensure ubiquitous connectivity and operational efficiency while maximizing revenue and profit potential.” Clear2there personnel will be in the exhibit hall throughout the conference to demonstrate a range of smart home, business, farm, and healthcare solutions. Among these are monitoring and control systems using a variety of Internet-connected devices, including wireless tablets and smartphones. More at www.clear2there.com
