Intelisys’ 17th Channel Connect Event Breaks Multiple Records

Intelisys Logo Unparalleled Attendance Numbers as the Channel Embraces Convergence Petaluma, CA (October 17, 2016) – Intelisys Inc., a ScanSource company and the nation’s leading Technology Services Distributor, once again broke attendance records at Channel Connect, welcoming more than 1,000 Sales Partners, Supplier Partners and guests to the Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa, CA. The annual Intelisys Partner conference covers three event-packed days of cloud and telecom industry education and networking, along with the company’s annual Partner Awards event, which featured a 45-minute stand-up routine by legendary comedian Dana Carvey. “We look forward to Channel Connect every year,” said Jay Bradley, Intelisys President. “When we held the first Channel Connect event 17 years ago, there were about 12 Sales Partners in attendance. Today, we have hundreds, and we’re committed to each and every one. The success of our Sales Partner community is staggering, as evidenced by the number of Club TPC memberships awarded this year. I tip my hat to them, and remain ever grateful for their partnership and friendship.” At the Partner Awards celebration, LinkSource Technologies was named as a the first Platinum Plus Partner in the West Region, an honor bestowed for the first time in 2015 on Subsidium Technologies. Joining the ranks of the elite Platinum Partners was Oasys Solutions Group (East Region). In total, 159 Intelisys Sales Partners have been awarded Club TPC Memberships for significant 2016 achievements in billings, a more than 20 percent increase on last year’s billings. Approximately half of Club TPC Members were awarded Club TPC Trips for growing their revenue base by a designated percentage, and will be celebrating this achievement in January 2017 on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii. “The best thing to come out of Channel Connect this year is that every doubt, every fear about the ScanSource acquisition has been eradicated,” said Edward Terry, Founder of Expert Technology Associates, Intelisys Sales Partner and Club TPC Trip Winner. “This Channel Connect experience gave me and my peers the confidence and reassurance that the ScanSource team is genuine in their intent, and that we can move forward and grow our businesses. Let’s face it, this was a ScanSource test, and they passed with flying colors. It was another win for the Intelisys community.” Channel Connect 2016 welcomed 11 new sponsors and a further 76 returning sponsors, whose repeat attendance speaks to the value and quality of the event. It also included a stellar line up of brand new keynote and panel content focused on revenue building technology and business solutions. Channel Connect introduced exclusive education tracks outside the General Session in 2016, which allowed smaller, more exclusive groups of Partners to deep dive into specific highly relevant topics, including Growing a Cloud Practice with Google & Microsoft; Building a Hardware Practice; Building a Cloud Security Practice; Intelligent Networks – SDN, NFV and SD-WAN; and The Anatomy of a VAR. The recent ScanSource acquisition of Intelisys played a significant role in the content and themes of the 2016 event, with ScanSource CEO Mike Baur addressing a packed house in a special keynote address on the show’s opening morning. “I love to see independent owners of businesses who are highly successful,” Baur complimented the room full of Intelisys Sales Partners. “We’ve built an incredible and incomparable engine, and it wouldn’t be possible without the amazing people we call our Sales Partners, Supplier Partners and colleagues,” said Rick Sheldon, Intelisys Co-Founder. “I’d like to thank them all, along with all the additional people whose support, talents and hard work made this Channel Connect event the tremendous success that it was. As we forge new territory together, I could not be more proud or more humbled by this community, and I expect many great things to come.” Learn more: http://www.intelisys.com/channel-connect/, www.Intelisys.com and www.scansource.com.
