Mavenir’s cloud division broadens company’s horizons, offers new opportunities, Podcast

According to Kevin Nethercott, Global VP Sales and Partner Engagement at Mavenir, the recent acquisition of Telestax has enabled Mavenir to go from offering solutions “by the tanker” to solutions “by the drip”. Two hundred and fifty of the world’s largest carriers utilize Mavenir’s gear. Something like 60% of the worlds text messages make their way each day through Mavenir. Now, with the Telestax acquisition, a company known for big scale carrier solutions is also in front of the community with scalable cloud solutions. “We have set up a contact center with over two hundred agents, in three nations… in under 36 hours,” says Tony Pereira, SVP of Enterprise Solutions Strategy and Partnerships. Pereira notes how cloud offers super efficiency, with customers buying what they need, avoiding costly and complex installations and launches, all delivered in an amount of time that was simply impossible outside of a cloud approach. Pereira adds that the CPaaS approach enables the channel to bring together texting and new approaches to the contact center, even while the contact center is a team of agents distributed over a vast area and across time zones. “We’re at a pivot point,” adds Pereira noting that only the cloud approach offers the channel to help their customers modernize, rethink, and recharge their contact centers and other communication tools. Today’s customer and worker have new expectations, and the new Mavenir, combining strengths in two markets, is offering their channel group new opportunities to reinvent what they mean to their customers.
