DALLAS - November 12, 2013 – Broadvox, a leading provider of SIP and cloud-based unified communications services, announced today it has partnered with Polycom and BroadSoft® to offer channel partners a webinar on its Hosted Communications solution. This event follows Broadvox’s latest release of its Hosted Communications service, leveraging the recently announced interoperability between BroadSoft’s unified communications (UC) services and the popular Polycom® VVX® Business Media Phone portfolio. Presenting this webinar are Tim Sisneros, Director West Region Cloud and Service Provider at Polycom; Jeffrey Pearl, Vice President Carrier Sales North America at BroadSoft; and Arnaud Gautier, Chief Marketing Officer at Broadvox. Click here for more details. Broadvox Hosted Communications, launched in July of this year, is a cloud-based voice and collaboration service that combines phone service, voicemail, desktop sharing, web collaboration, video calling, instant messaging, and presence and fax to connect businesses, their employees and customers. These services are seamlessly accessible over a range of user devices including PC, Mac, mobile phone and IP desk phones. Unlike other unified communications or hosted VoIP services, Broadvox Hosted Communications pricing is highly flexible and scales easily as a company grows. Broadvox Hosted Communications fully leverages BroadSoft’s BroadWorks® platform, and the Polycom VVX and SoundPoint lines of IP phones. Crucially important is the Broadvox Communicator suite of client apps, available for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac OS X. These apps, based on BroadSoft’s UC-One® platform, seamlessly integrate telephony, conferencing, video, instant message and presence, and other collaboration features into one user interface. With this latest release, Broadvox further integrates its Hosted Communications feature set with the Polycom VVX line, by enabling features on the phone such as:
  • Access to the Enterprise Directory
  • Access to other users’ presence
  • Ability to view contact as favorites
The intent of the joint webinar, scheduled for November 19, 2013, is to further educate the partner community on this flexible, customizable, cloud-based solution leveraging BroadSoft and Polycom’s key products. “Broadvox is one of the most innovative UCaaS services providers who is leveraging our complete, extensive unified communications capabilities -- including telephony, collaboration, instant messaging, presence, call center and video calling, in order to meet the communication needs of enterprises of all sizes,” said Leslie Ferry, vice president, marketing, BroadSoft. "Broadvox is focused on providing UC&C solutions that power greater productivity and smarter conversations,” said Brian Gilman, Senior Director, Worldwide Service Providers, Polycom. “Our partnership, along with this upcoming event, will help Broadvox’s partner community address customers’ pain points with Broadvox Hosted Communications, which is powered by Broadsoft UC Services and Polycom® VVX® handsets. This powerful combination also helps customers maximize their technology investments.” “Broadvox continues to innovate by providing our partners and customers with the latest technologies and service enhancements made possible by our key partners: BroadSoft and Polycom,” said Arnaud Gautier, Chief Marketing Officer at Broadvox. “Our focus on the use of SIP standards, coupled with our relentless focus on the end user’s experience, makes our solution unique in the marketplace. We are proud to further our relationship with BroadSoft and Polycom through our joint partner education activities. As business customers are capturing the value of Unified Communications at an accelerated pace, it is crucial to communicate to our partners that only service providers backed by open platforms such as BroadSoft’s and Polycom will provide the future-proof solutions their customers demand.” With Hosted Communications, businesses and IT professionals looking for a customized solution can select from a range of  rate and usage plans, may mix and match  feature sets including advance calling and unified messaging features, and choose from a set of IP Phones. Adding to the flexibility of the solution, customers may even use their own broadband or select from a range of Broadvox broadband options. More at w ww.broadvox.com
