Telecommunications Service Providers (TSPs) registered with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to provide voice services but currently ineligible (because they lack access to Canadian Numbering Administrator resources) to obtain Service Provider Code (SPC) Tokens received more good news yesterday.
CST-GA shareholders approved an amended SPC Token Access Policy prepared October 14. Version 1.2—based on a CST-GA consultation report in response to a CRTC decision. It is a positive step and opens access to currently ineligible TSPs to obtain to SPC Tokens, in turn providing access to Secure Telephone Identify (STI) Certificates, necessary for higher (Level A or B) attestation.
The CST-GA confirmed the criteria necessary to prove Identity, Reputation, and Technical Compliance and obtain SPC Tokens.
