**New York – September 15, 2016 – **Cooley partner Ivor Elrifi was named New York Attorney of the Year in the Patent Strategy & Management category at the annual LMG Life Sciences Awards. Cooley was also singled out across the venture capital, *inter partes *review and patent strategy and management categories. Elrifi joined Cooley in 2014 with a large life sciences patent team from Mintz Levin. He has since grown the practice substantially out of New York, Boston and London.
