San Jose, CA – May 4, 2017 –
Edgewater Networks, the leader in Network Edge Orchestration, today announced QuickConnect Interoperability Lab certification of TWAMP functionality between
Panasonic’s KX-TGP600 DECT endpoints and Edgewater Networks’ EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges. When initiated, jitter, latency, and packet loss can be accurately measured, increasing Quality of Service and service assurance with TWAMP-enabled endpoints. Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (TWAMP) is an extension of One-Way Active Measurement Protocol (OWAMP) with the addition of the performance measurement of round-trip and two-way metrics. It is a highly effective performance monitoring process between any two TWAMP-enabled endpoints in an IP-based network, using time stamps applied at the endpoints to enable greater accuracy and account for processing and network delays. “There is an increased demand in the market for the in-depth data collected via the TWAMP functionality, which further enables service providers to proactively identify and remediate issues on the customer LAN,” said Jennifer Kidd, VP of Business Development for Edgewater Networks. “The QuickConnect certification validates a seamless integration between Panasonic TWAMP endpoints and EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges, which centrally capture TWAMP data and delivers it to service provider technicians for analysis and performance measurement.” Edgewater Networks’ EdgeMarc Intelligent Edges is a primary component of
Network Edge Orchestration platform, which includes the cloud-based
EdgeView Service Control Center and the customer premises-based
Intelligent Edges. Network Edge Orchestration offers host of functionality and benefits including zero-touch provisioning and configuration, security, and active service management. Endpoints, such as the Panasonic’s VoIP phones, are connected directly to the EdgeMarc intelligent edges, giving service providers the ability to remotely monitor, configure, and troubleshoot all endpoints through the EdgeView Service Control Center.
