Company renews lease for Headquarters in Holmdel, reaffirms commitment to New Jersey

HOLMDEL, N.J., Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Vonage Holdings Corp. (NYSE: VG), a leading provider of cloud communications services for businesses and consumers, has announced it will establish a tech center of excellence in New Jersey with the renewal of the lease on its corporate headquarters in Holmdel. Vonage has extended the lease until 2023, reaffirming the Company's commitment to New Jersey. Originally located in Edison, Vonage has been a New Jersey-based company since it was founded in 2001. The Company moved its headquarters to Holmdel in 2005 to accommodate the growth of its employee base. "We're excited about our ambitious plans to modernize our campus," said Vonage CEO Alan Masarek. "We will continue to improve our facility and create a technology center of excellence befitting of the leader in cloud communications." Vonage's award-winning campus is situated on 88 acres and is home to the Company's flagship Network Operations Center (NOC) that operates 24/7/365 managing Vonage's international network connecting billions of calls each year around the world. The Company provides a robust suite of feature-rich business and residential cloud communications solutions that offer flexibility, portability and ease-of-use across multiple devices designed to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. In addition to offering residential and business service that runs over the top of customers' existing broadband connections, the Company offers business service over its private, national MPLS network with 20 POPSs (points of presence) located throughout the United States. The Company will be making additional investments to modernize its campus and build a state-of-the-art training facility where it will onboard all new employees, regardless of where they will be based, as well as train employees, sales associates, partners and prospective customers on its latest technology and unified communications solutions. Vonage considered other states and cities before deciding to stay in its current location in Holmdel. The Company will remain in Holmdel because of its proximity to New York City, just an hour away, which makes it an attractive location for talented employees. "Vonage now has offices across the nation and internationally, but Holmdel has been our home for the last decade, and we are very committed to this town and its surrounding communities," said Mr. Masarek. "We are a rapidly growing company, and this facility will allow us to continue to expand right here in New Jersey. We're transforming our Company inside and out as we work toward making Vonage a destination place to work." "Vonage made a smart choice 14 years ago when it chose to start its business here in New Jersey, and we are delighted that the company has committed to keeping its corporate headquarters in Holmdel," said Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno. "The company's presence in Central New Jersey is clear; Vonage has brought hundreds of jobs and a history of technology innovation to the area. We're looking forward to working together with them for many years to come." Since its founding, Vonage has had a rich history in giving back to the community through financial support, use of its facility and grounds for charitable and community events, and employee volunteerism. In 2015 alone, Vonage employees in New Jersey have given more than 1000 hours in service to the community, supporting numerous New Jersey non-profit organizations. Over the past decade, the Vonage facility has been used for fundraising and community outreach events by several local non-profit organizations, including the Children's Specialized Hospital, Walk4Friends, Heroes & Cool Kids and the Frances Foundation among others. Notably, Vonage played a significant role in the recovery efforts following Superstorm Sandy, donating monetary resources, necessities and time through employee volunteers to help those affected by the storm to rebuild. Approximately 700 Vonage employees are based in New Jersey, along with the majority of its senior management team. The Company is actively recruiting for all areas of the organization.
