PeakColo logoDenver, ColoradoAugust 5, 2013 PeakColo, a leading enterprise-class IaaS Cloud service provider for channel partners, announces today it has established a distributor relationship with Avnet Technology Solutions, a global IT solutions distribution leader.  By leveraging key relationships with top distributors in the technology sector such as Avnet in its Americas region, Peak expands the availability of its award-winning cloud services platform to Value Added Resellers (VARs) nationwide. Peak delivers on-demand compute, storage and network resources, which channel partners utilize to offer cloud-enabled solutions such as private and hybrid cloud, disaster recovery, backup, and storage in the cloud. Peak’s cloud nodes, stretching coast to coast as well as in the UK, are accessed via layer two direct connections, further improving reliability, speed, and ease of deployment. Avnet’s first cloud service powered by Peak is based on NetApp ® Private Storage for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is available as an on-demand solution.  The Avnet CloudAttach Shared offering provides enterprises the ability to consume storage via an OPEX model leveraging Peak’s significant cloud storage infrastructure. In addition, channel partners can purchase Avnet’s Cloud Accelerator Program Powered by Peak.   This program enables Avnet partners the ability to white-label Peak’s infrastructure in order to offer a full array of cloud-enabled service offerings, based on Open Compute or Cisco UCS FlexPod-based compute infrastructure and NetApp storage. “Our new relationship with PeakColo expands Avnet’s portfolio of integrated and packaged cloud solutions, as well as adds a white-label program with innovative cloud infrastructures,” states Tim FitzGerald, Vice President of Avnet Cloud Solutions, Avnet Services, Americas. “These solutions enable our partners to compete and differentiate themselves on value created for their customers. Peak’s 100 percent channel-centric model is unique in the marketplace, and we know they will never compete with us via a direct sales force, which was key of our decision to collaborate with them.” “Demand for cloud services is growing at breakneck speeds.  As more and more service providers offer cloud services to support customers’ mission-critical workloads, we will see demand continue to rise,” states Luke Norris , CEO and Founder of PeakColo. “The success of our channel-centric model rests upon the fact that partners can build and grow their cloud practice at their own pace without capital expenditure, minimal product development cycles, using best of breed technologies.  By enabling business agility through high availability services, we can ensure positive results for our partners going forward.” Peak’s enterprise-class cloud services platform has been recognized by NetApp Innovation Awards, Compuware’s Top 25 Cloud Service Providers, TalkingCloud Top 100, and as a CRN top channel partner.   In addition to flexible IaaS platforms, it also offers object-based storage, which handles petabytes of data in a cost effective way.
