LOS ALTOS, Calif. and ROOSEVELT, Utah, APRIL 3, 2019 – RINA Wireless (RINA), a cooperative, peer-to-peer association of independent Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and cloud native pioneer Metaswitch announced today that they have teamed up to jointly provide an IMS Core and advanced mobile services to RINA’s consortium members and rural wireless carriers. Together, RINA and Metaswitch are helping to fill a void for many rural wireless carriers that need affordable access to an IMS Core in order to deliver Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) and Rich Communications Services (RCS) by solving the capital investment hurdle facing some smaller operators when going it alone.
