Vega de Pas - August 2021 - Vega de Pas is one of the so-called three Pasiegas towns along with San Pedro del Romeral and San Roque de Riomiera. One of the most iconic and peculiar places in Cantabria, but, at the same time, it also draws an outstanding dispersion in the distribution of the houses that make up the municipality. Well, facing this technical difficulty,  Adamo already has fiber optics installed in more than 270 homes in Vega de Pas and continues with the work to extend its network in other areas of the emblematic Pasiega population. Municipal support The expansion plan was recently presented by David Llano, head of Adamo in Cantabria, to the mayor of Vega de Pas, Juan Carlos García Diego , who supports and closely follows the implementation of infrastructure on municipal land. This new deployment is part of the substantial investment made by the company to the region: it is the autonomous community in which it has developed the most considering the proportion per inhabitants, with more than 60 million euros allocated to the installation of the network in Cantabria and having comfortably exceeded the 40 million budgeted four years ago. More than 200,000 connected homes Likewise, the operator's forecast is to serve 47,000 more Cantabrian families in the next two years. Added to the 155,000 that it already has in its portfolio, there will be more than 200,000 addresses in the Adamo network in Cantabria. In order precisely to provide high-speed Internet to the most remote areas , the company has an innovative tool:  Adamo Fiberhood . It is a system through which, only with the joint request of 30 neighbors through a simple website, it is enough for the company to commit to carrying out a deployment study in their municipality. Each town has its own group. For Vega de Pas: https://adamo.es/es/fiberhood/fibra-vega-de-pas ABOUT ADAMO: Adamo, based in Barcelona, is an operator with a national vocation, but with a regional and local business focus. Present in the Spanish market since 2007 , the company gives priority to rural areas and new urban areas with a high population density, providing the fastest optical fiber on the market (1,000 Mbps) . EQT Partners, Adamo's investment fund and majority shareholder, supports its current expansion plan, boosted last July with 600 million euros . Likewise, Adamo is the main awardee of the New Generation Broadband Program (PEBA-NGA 2020-2022), funded by the State and the EU, having received80 million in grants to bring high-speed Internet to nearly 500,000 homes located in rural areas of 20 provinces . Thanks to having its own infrastructure, in addition to the Internet, Adamo provides fixed and mobile telephony customers, as well as services for the business and wholesale market.
