-It aims to increase business profitability to over 8% by 2025 and sets a target of reaching €30 million in revenue during the current fiscal year.

-Jon Arberas, CEO, anticipates a year marked by business continuity, the hybrid-multicloud model and connectivity as a critical pillar

-It warns about the high risk that some organizations, especially SMEs, assume when contracting connectivity services with "residential criteria"

Derio - March 10, 2026 – Sarenet , the voice, data, and hosting services provider specializing in business, closed the last fiscal year with 2% revenue growth , exceeding €28 million , and an increase in business profitability of over 8% . The year's performance was driven by the strong showing of cybersecurity and hosting services , particularly cloud-based solutions, in a context of accelerating digitalization and a parallel increase in risks for organizations.

In terms of geographical distribution, the company continues to diversify its operations outside the Basque Country, experiencing greater growth than in its home region, now accounting for over two-thirds of total revenue. According to Jon Arberas, CEO of Sarenet , “the business is evolving healthily and steadily, with no particular focus on any specific service, region, client, or sector. We are also very pleased with the contribution to the business from the more than 350 partners who make up our indirect sales channel nationwide . ”

By business line, Sarenet has experienced particularly significant growth in cybersecurity , with an increase of nearly 20% , driven by segmentation projects, SOC services, audits, maintenance, and support. Hosting services have also stood out , with an increase of over 10% , driven by cloud solutions. Meanwhile, the networking business has remained at similar levels to the previous year.

Looking ahead to 2026 , Sarenet estimates growth of around 7% , with the goal of reaching 30 million euros .

2026: Business continuity, a critical priority

According to Arberas , business continuity has gone from being an "extra" to a critical necessity for companies of all sizes, especially after recent incidents that have highlighted a lack of preparedness for contingencies. "In 2026, we will see a growing priority placed on business continuity and risk management; more rigorous operational resilience plans will gain prominence on the agendas of IT managers ," he notes.

In this scenario, the company anticipates that the cloud will evolve toward more sophisticated models, dominated by hybrid and multicloud approaches , combining public, private, and on-premises cloud to balance flexibility, performance, cost, and regulatory compliance. Arberas also highlights the increasingly crucial role of data governance and compliance as key decision-making criteria.

Connectivity “without single points of failure” and security from the infrastructure

Sarenet also emphasizes the need to strengthen high-quality connectivity as the foundation of critical services. “As processes become digitized and data resides outside the corporate network, connectivity must be guaranteed with appropriately sized links, clear SLAs, redundancy, alternative physical paths, and no single points of failure ,” explains Arberas . In this regard, he warns that there are still organizations—especially SMEs—that contract connectivity with “almost residential” criteria , assuming a high risk.

Regarding threats, the company anticipates the continuation of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks and increasing pressure stemming from the use of AI-powered bots to scan and attack infrastructure. Sarenet emphasizes that cybersecurity must be addressed as a comprehensive solution involving networks, data centers, cloud services, and people, with the infrastructure provider playing an active role through traffic analysis, anomaly detection, and containment measures at the network perimeter.

Roadmap: new data center and own mobile platform, FULL MVNO

In its roadmap for 2026, Sarenet outlines two key milestones: the commissioning of a new data center , scheduled to open soon, and the launch in the second half of 2026 of its own full MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), with the capacity to deploy new MVNO service providers. The company frames these projects within a strengthening of its overall offering of hosting, connectivity, mobile services, and cybersecurity , including team expansion, new certifications, and the addition of security auditing services.

“When an IT service fails, the reputational impact can be devastating. The combination of innovation and resilience will be crucial for the survival of organizations in the face of any crisis,” Arberas concludes.
