John Elliott Joins GENBAND as Vice President of Business Development for Kandy

Dallas, TX – September 14, 2017 –  GENBAND , a leading provider of real time communications software solutions, today announced that John Elliott has joined the organization as Vice President of Business Development for Kandy. Elliott, who will report directly to GENBAND’s Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, Patrick Joggerst, will be responsible for supporting Global Business Development, Sales and Ecosystem alliances for GENBAND’s award-winning Communications platform as a Service,  Kandy. “John’s extensive knowledge and experience in the embedded real time communications and application programming interface (API) space make him a perfect fit to help develop and execute our aggressive Kandy growth strategy,” said Joggerst. “He has a long track record of building and developing great relationships with service providers, enterprises and partners alike. With the interest and traction we are experiencing in our Kandy platform, this is the perfect time to bring someone with John’s sustained level of success and innovation into the organization.” Prior to joining GENBAND, Elliott ran Global Sales and Business Development for Cisco’s Tropo and Spark API division for voice, messaging and video communications following Cisco’s acquisition of Tropo.  While at Cisco, Elliott managed the launch of the innovative Cisco Spark Depot, which served as a vehicle to deliver integrations, bots and ready-to-deploy solutions to Cisco’s partners and enterprise customers. Prior to Cisco, Elliott was responsible for leading Tropo’s Global Sales and Business Development teams. Before joining Tropo, he led the Global Sales Organization for Vlingo Corporation (acquired by Nuance) as Vice President of Global Sales. Elliott is a graduate of the University of Tulsa.
