Masergy's WebRTC Wins Product of the Year for Real-Time Voice and Video Communications

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - Mar 23, 2016) - Masergy Communications Inc. announced today that TMC has named its WebRTC Suite as a 2016 WebRTC Product of the Year Award winner. Masergy captured the award for its early adoption of the WebRTC standard to deliver real-time voice and video communications that enables improved employee collaboration and enhanced customer experience. The WebRTC Suite includes Visual Automated Attendant (VAA) and Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) solutions, which leverage the open source-based WebRTC standard for real-time voice and video communications via Chrome, Firefox, and Opera browsers.
  • VAA enables customer interactions directly from any web page, bypassing the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)
  • VMR is a simple alternative to complex, in-room conferencing systems and does not require prior account registration or app downloads associated with typical free calling services
"It gives me great pleasure to honor Masergy as a 2016 recipient of the WebRTC Product of the Year Award for their innovative WebRTC Suite," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. "Our judges were very impressed with the ingenuity and excellence displayed by Masergy in their groundbreaking work." Masergy's customers leverage the WebRTC Suite through the company's award-winning, Global Unified Communication as a Service ( UCaaS) solution. UCaaS is an all-in-one business communications service using an extensible, highly-scalable IP communications infrastructure to connect information, people and resources anywhere, anytime. "Masergy has developed WebRTC-based solutions that extend communications beyond the enterprise, providing exciting new ways for organizations to engage with customers and partners through browser-based voice calling and video conferencing," said Dean Manzoori, Product Management VP, Masergy. "We are proud TMC has recognized our innovation for this distinguished honor."
