for business customers in the New York City metropolitan area. While attending Harrisburg Academy, Gillette was at the forefront of the student body, contributing to diverse activities throughout the years. As an athlete, Gillette participated in a sport every season in all four years of high school and was awarded the Sports Club Trophy as a senior. He was also a member of the student council, drama club, and yearbook staff while retaining a strong academic performance.
After graduating from the Academy, Gillette attended the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in English. Joe tried out for Penn’s Division I lacrosse team, and made the team as a walk-on. By his senior year he was elected captain by his teammates, and made significant contributions on the field.
In addition to his role at Stage 2 Networks, Gillette co-founded the Cloud Communications Alliance with other regionally successful telecommunications companies. He currently serves on the Alliance Board, as well as on the boards of two other privately held telecommunications companies in the NY metro area.
Gillette lives in Maplewood, New Jersey with his wife, Lisa and their three sons. He has found time to maintain ties to Harrisburg Academy. Over the years he has attended numerous alumni events, played in The Harrisburg Academy Golf Classic to support student scholarships, was inducted into the
Harrisburg Academy Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004, and served on the Harrisburg Academy Athletics Hall of Fame committee in 2006 and 2007. He is a current member of the Board of Trustees, and serves as President of the Alumni Council. Gillette has been an outstanding member of the Harrisburg Academy community throughout high school, as a college student, and now as a successful businessman.
