Intelisys Adds East Cloud Sales Engineer & Sr. Regional Channel Manager

Expands Dedicated Sales Partner Support in East Region Intelisys LogoPetaluma, CA (August 15, 2016) – Intelisys Communications, Inc., the nation’s leading Technology Services Distributor, has reinforced its commitment to Sales Partners in its East Region, with the hiring of a new Senior Channel Manager and an award-winning Cloud Sales Engineer. 1.     Joe Conlon, Senior Channel Manager, Mid-Atlantic Region, brings a wealth of channel and industry experience to his position, having held channel roles at Sprint, Global Crossing/Level 3, and most recently, T-Mobile. 2.     Gerry Davis, Jr., Cloud Sales Engineer, Southeast Region, was most recently Senior Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales) for NaviSite. An award-winning sales engineer, he has also worked at Windstream Hosted Solutions (now TierPoint) and for Mecklenberg County, the largest county government in North Carolina. “Joe and Gerry answer a key need for us at a time of unprecedented East Region growth,” said Rick Ribas, SVP Partner Sales & Business Development for Intelisys. “Both have extensive channel experience and the capability to help support and guide our Sales Partners to new heights. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the team.” Based out of Philadelphia, Joe Conlon has more than 25 years of industry experience, combining operational management, business development and customer service expertise, and delivers on a reputation for driving market strategies, forming strategic partnerships, and successfully implementing and overseeing complex projects. “I am excited to take on this opportunity in a really important market,” said Conlon. “Convergence is here. Cloud is here. The Mid-Atlantic Region is home to a number of Sales Partners who already have a really strong base, and I look forward to helping them grow. A pre-sales engineering expert who holds a multitude of certifications and awards, he brings a significant background in cloud and datacenter technologies to his role, as well as a proven record as an educator. In his 10 years with the Mecklenberg County, Davis first managed the server team before moving to a network engineering role, and later to a senior leadership role in the Enterprise Architecture Group, in which he was tasked with aligning County business goals with technology, giving him a unique understanding of the customer perspective. “My role is purpose-built to help our Sales Partners to build and grow their cloud practices,” said Davis. “I encourage each of the Sales Partners in the Southeast Region to think of me as an extension of their sales teams.
