Alteva Partners With Parallels to Provide Hosted VoIP Services to Cloud Services Customers

Implementing Hosted VoIP With Parallels Automation Offers Affordable Solutions for SMBs Alteva, a leading cloud-based Unified Communications (UC) solution provider and subsidiary of Warwick Valley Telephone Company (NASDAQ: WWVY) (referred to as WVT Communications Group), today announced its new partnership with Parallels, the hosting and cloud services enablement leader. The announcement was made in Orlando during Parallels Summit 2012, an event that attracts a global audience of over 1,200 leading participants from across the cloud and hosting industry. Through the APS BroadSoft beta program, Parallels will provide its customers access to a turn-key hosted VoIP white label solution. The APS BroadSoft beta program is a way to jumpstart the on-boarding of new clients for the Parallels community and will provide SMB customers with a route to further leverage additional cloud services as part of their growth strategy. "The Parallels community is already receptive to cloud-based communication solutions, especially with the growing demand for hosted PBX services at smaller businesses," said Louis Hayner, Chief Sales Officer, Alteva. "Alteva's hosted VoIP services, delivered through Parallels Automation, will enable SMBs to continue to compete in their market by utilizing technologies from the cloud -- something that they have been seeking for a long time." Parallels Automation, combined with Alteva's wholesale business model, offers service providers a turnkey portfolio of communication services. As Alteva hosted VoIP wholesalers, Parallels customers will benefit from unparalleled telecommunications continuity, vendor/phone bill consolidation, scalability, increased control, business continuity and mitigation of technology obsolescence. In addition to Alteva's Hosted VoIP platform, Alteva will provide:
  • Provisioning and billing reporting
  • Training on the reseller portal for configuration & support
  • Training on license and billing management
  • Billing reports
  • Usage reports
  • Initial / Ongoing sales & marketing support
"Parallels SMB Cloud Insights™ research indicates that hosted PBX services are expected to grow by 75% worldwide over the next three years, representing a huge opportunity for service providers," said John Zanni, Parallels VP of Service Provider Marketing and Alliances. "We are excited to work with Alteva to make it easy for Parallels partners to deliver hosted PBX services to their SMB customers." Through its partnership with Microsoft and Broadsoft, Alteva's hosted VoIP services will enable Parallels to expand its portfolio of cloud-based offerings to its over 10 million customers in 125 countries, helping service providers to increase their monthly ARPU by an average of $37/user. "Parallels is already selling hosted Exchange and other desktop services from the cloud," added Hayner. "Now, instead of their customers going somewhere else for VoIP services, they can stick with Parallels Partners for all of their business needs. The very nature of our product will enable Parallels Partners to increase brand awareness, while providing additional 'stickiness' to their customer base so that they can put all of their focus on increasing sales and up-selling other hosted services."
