Secucloud Chooses Qosmos as a Technology Partner to Fight Growing Cyber Threats

Summary: Secucloud strengthens its Elastic Cloud Security System (ECS²) with a further technology partnership in the field of real-time classification of applications and protocols by integrating Qosmos ixEngine.
Paris, France, and Hamburg, Germany, November 8, 2016: Qosmos®, the market leader in DPI-based IP traffic classification and network intelligence technology, and Secucloud, the award-winning innovative cloud security specialist focused on Telcos and ISPs, today announced a partnership to enhance cyber security solutions. The amount of networked devices is growing steadily and smartphones as well as all other mobile devices are becoming increasingly important in all digital communications. Concurrently, the number of threats is on the rise and becoming more complex, with sophisticated attacks and malware threatening the security of web-enabled devices. In order to respond to these threats, Secucloud is continuously striving to enhance its innovative security solutions. With its “Elastic Cloud Security System” (ECS2) the company has created a cloud-based security framework. Current security modules such as multi-analyzer threat protection, SAND-SSL-Scan, and packet analyzer within Secucloud’s IABS engine have been combined to form an enterprise-grade security solution. As of now, Secucloud also integrates Qosmos ixEngine in its solutions to provide improved security for Secucloud customers. As part of Secucloud’s Elastic Cloud Security System (ECS²) framework, a further Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) module based on Qosmos ixEngine® strengthens application identification and accurately classifies all traffic. This will enable improved analysis, control and optimization, which translates into a more secure environment for Secucloud’s customers. “Secucloud ECS² processes Internet traffic on a global scale to protect mobile users and each and every device,” says Secucloud CEO Dennis Monner. “With the Qosmos ixEngine as an additional security module, we can provide an even more secure environment for our customers.” Qosmos, well-known market leader in embedded IP traffic classification and network intelligence technology, and Secucloud are looking forward to a valuable cooperation. “I am pleased that our partnership can significantly strengthen Secucloud’s cloud-based IT security,” said Thibaut Bechetoille, CEO at Qosmos. “Qosmos technology adds the detailed, real-time traffic visibility needed to manage threats up to the application level and mitigate advanced security risks.” Secucloud’s Elastic Cloud Security System (ECS2), which recently won AV-Test’s Innovation Award, is combining a wide variety of security systems in the ECS² architecture with a global security cloud infrastructure; companies receive a secure, scalable solution, which provides security in real time for every device in every location. The ECS² was developed from scratch as a cloud architecture, to meet the new challenges presented by mobility, cloud applications, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. Qosmos ixEngine is already established as the de facto industry-standard for IP classification and metadata extraction engines. Security specialists use Qosmos to gain application visibility, accelerate development and strengthen capabilities of new solutions. More at www.secucloud.com and www.qosmos.com.
