Podcast: Cloud; UCaaS + CC + API

by Gary Audin
You can subscribe to cloud-based communication services. There are many choices. You can subscribe to UCaaS. The number of choices decreases. You might want to include contact center services. Your choices diminish further. What can make your service choices most attractive is with an Application Program Interface which adds functions and features of beyond communications that support your business requirements.
Aqeel Shahid, Regional VP of Strategic Sales at Vonage www.vonage.com/business and Gary Audin discuss a combination of services that can make a business more competitive. Aqeel uses Vonage’s experience with the Mobile Medical Examination Service (MedXM) as an example of UCaaS, contact center, plus APIs. Vonage's opportunity to partner with MedXM was facilitated through mutual Google partner, VIWO.
MedXM has 5,000 medical personnel that needed a single scalable service deployed via Google Chrome devices. MedXM wanted to manage their IT infrastructure rapidly without a large increase in IT staff. The Vonage API allowed MedXM to implement extra services which delivered innovative medical support functions to their customers.
