Arrow Electronics Signs North American Distribution Agreement With dinCloud for its Hosted Virtual Desktops

ArrowSphere To Offer dinCloud’s Hosted Virtual Desktops, Servers and Storage to the Channel

LOS ANGELES, CA – December 10, 2013 – dinCloud, a cloud services provider that offers business provisioning, today announced it has entered into a distribution agreement with Arrow Electronics Inc., a global provider of products, services and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions. The agreement allows Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions segment (Arrow ECS) to market, sell and support dinCloud’s hosted virtual desktops, hosted virtual servers and cloud storage services to its growing list of North American channel partners via the ArrowSphere online marketplace. Additionally, Arrow will offer dinCloud’s newest product offering, webHVD. A true plug and play, powered by HTML5 in Google’s Chrome browser, webHVD is a clientless web application extension that runs on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux or Chromebook endpoints. It provides customers with a turnkey desktop, which they can provision and start using in a matter of minutes. With the addition of these solutions to ArrowSphere, Arrow can now offer a variety of new products and capabilities to its channel, enabling significant savings and providing a smarter alternative to on-premises infrastructure for customers of all sizes. “We are always looking for strong alliances and relationships, and dinCloud’s channel-friendly model and solutions help us fill a growing gap in the cloud space,” said Jim Livingston, vice president of North American services for Arrow’s ECS segment. “dinCloud’s hosted virtual desktops, including its new webHVD, hosted virtual servers and cloud-based storage offerings, offer a comprehensive solution for solution providers as they build and grow their services practices.” Arrow serves as a supply channel partner for more than 100,000 original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and commercial customers through a global network of more than 470 locations in 55 countries. Arrow’s solution provider community can white-label dinCloud’s complete portfolio of cloud-based services, including dinHVD, dinServer and cloud storage for backup and recovery. Additionally, ArrowSphere provides access to dinCloud’s online  cloud orchestration and management platform, dinManage. Arrow’s solution providers have the ability to custom configure their customers’ virtual private data centers to host desktops, servers, applications and data securely in the cloud. dinManage provides the ability to upgrade, downgrade, add or remove resources in real-time for improved efficiencies, performance and time to market, while simplifying IT infrastructure management, service accounting and back office operations. “ArrowSphere’s business services provide the essential tools for efficient, flexible and cost-effective service models that guide solution providers through an ever-evolving portfolio of best-in-class IT services and cloud sourcing models,” said David Graffia, VP Sales, dinCloud. “The timing of this agreement is ideal with the recent launch of webHVD, which is built entirely on HTML5. Customers can now get to their secure and backed-up hosted virtual desktop simply from a Chrome browser. We are the only hosted virtual desktop provider offering this and now Arrow’s channel base is privy to that as well.” Since its founding, dinCloud has progressed beyond offering  hosted virtual desktops, having added  hosted serverstorage, networking and several applications in the cloud offerings. Today, dinCloud provides disaster recovery capabilities to maximize uptime and minimize cost while protecting businesses; and archiving, to meet industry compliance regulations and savings on mass storage. These storage and backup solutions provide data protection to companies of all sizes with flexible pricing options.
