Cooley Lawyers Join LCLD Fellows + Pathfinders Programs

Palo Alto – February 13, 2020 – Partner Calise Cheng is Cooley’s 2020 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity fellow. Associate Dena Chen is also set to join the organization’s pathfinders program. LCLD created its fellows program, which has instructed more than 1,600 midcareer lawyers since 2011, to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession. This is the seventh year Cooley has nominated a lawyer for the LCLD program. Previous Cooley fellows include DeAnna Allen, Tanisha James, Jonie Ing Kondracki, Reuben Chen, Joseph Drayton and Jessica Valenzuela Santamaria. The pathfinders program is designed to train high-performing, early career lawyers in critical career development strategies, including leadership and the building of professional networks. Since 2015, the program has trained nearly 700 early career lawyers, catering to junior lawyers in law firms and corporate legal departments who have demonstrated potential to become future leaders in the legal profession. Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.
