Greg Nelson Joins Masergy as Senior Vice President of Global Sales

Former Chief Sales Officer at Forrester Research to Lead Masergy Sales Team

DALLAS – March 12, 2013 – Masergy today announced that Greg C. Nelson has joined the company as senior vice president of global sales. With more than 18 years of industry and sales leadership experience, Mr. Nelson will lead Masergy’s global sales organization. Prior to Masergy, Nelson held a nine-year tenure with Forrester Research where he assumed multiple executive positions – most recently leading global sales initiatives as the company’s chief sales officer.  While at Forrester, Nelson was instrumental in driving the company’s growth and helped create a company culture based on the philosophy of “People, Passion and Possibilities,” resulting in a material reduction in annual attrition. “Greg is a significant addition to the Masergy executive team. He brings a dynamic leadership style and a strong sales background in IT and telecommunications to our company,” said Chris MacFarland, CEO of Masergy. “Greg will play an integral role in our growth strategy as we further expand the reach of our global networking and cloud communications offerings to enterprises around the world.” Before becoming chief sales officer at Forrester, Nelson spent two years in London as the company’s vice president of EMEA sales where he re-structured and led the firm’s regional EMEA sales team to 25 percent annual growth, compared to negative year-over-year growth before his arrival. Prior to Forrester, Nelson held executive positions at Giga Information Group Inc., Sterling Software Inc. and Texas Instruments. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and management information systems from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. More at www.masergy.com
