Makes the Collaboration and Productivity Advantages of Video Conferencing Practical for Businesses of All Sizes

ORLANDO, FL–(Marketwired – Jun 11, 2013) – IntelePeer, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand, cloud-based communications, and Vidtel, a pioneer in cloud-based any-to-any® video conferencing, today announced a strategic partnership to deliver highly flexible video conferencing solutions to power both internal and business-to-business collaboration. With this partnership, IntelePeer will integrate the Vidtel MeetMe any-to-any® cloud-based video conferencing service into its portfolio of SIP Trunking solution offerings, expanding the range of Unified Communications (UC) multi-modal enablement capabilities that can be seamlessly accessed from the cloud. The solution will be demonstrated at INFOCOMM13, June 12-14, 2013 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
The new video conferencing service will allow participants to easily join conferences from a broad variety of devices, including traditional video systems, laptops, tablets and smartphones. As a fully hosted solution, no additional equipment investment is required. IntelePeer will market the service in conjunction with its CoreCloud™ UC and SIP Trunking solutions. The MeetMe service provides video conferencing across traditional SIP and H.323 hardware endpoints, SIP soft clients like Cisco Jabber, WebRTC-based browsers, and consumer applications like Google Talk and Skype.
“We are expanding the HD audio and video capabilities of IntelePeer’s CloudWorx platform with the Vidtel offering by enabling multiparty video conferencing between a vast array of devices,” said Margaret Norton, chief marketing officer at IntelePeer. “Through this innovative partnership, organizations gain access to a comprehensive suite of communications and collaboration enablement solutions, all delivered as an easily accessed, over-the-top cloud service.”
“It’s clear that businesses worldwide are migrating their communications applications to the cloud,” said Scott Wharton, CEO of Vidtel. “Historically, video conferencing solutions have been too expensive and unwieldy for businesses to adopt. With the IntelePeer and Vidtel joint cloud-based solution, organizations now get all of the benefits of video conferencing, but with none of the traditional operational and economic barriers that have hampered deployment.”
