Juniper Networks to Sponsor the Cloud & Technology Transformation Alliance

PHOENX, AZ - VIRGO, an information distribution company focused on the most innovative and complex business-to-business markets that fuel the U.S. and world economies, and The 2112 Group, a technology business strategy firm specializing in technology and channel communications and intelligence services, announced today that Juniper Networks will be participating in and sponsoring the new Cloud & Technology Transformation Alliance (CTTA). The CTTA is a communal project of IT professionals dedicated to examining the challenges and opportunities with next-generation technologies and to develop best practices and adoption guidance for the entire IT community. Formerly the Cloud Convergence Council, the CTTA has expanded its mission beyond cloud computing to including all emerging technologies with a goal of developing and publishing community-based best practices on next-generation technology. “It’s through the generous support of sponsors such as Juniper Networks that the Cloud & Technology Transformation Alliance is able to conduct research and develop best practices for the channel and enterprise communities,” said Lawrence M. Walsh, CEO of The 2112 Group and CTTA director. “With the support of Juniper Networks, we will produce much forward-looking guidance on cloud computing and emerging technologies in 2012.” Juniper Networks has developed cloud-enabled dynamic, virtualized data center security services that not only meet today's security and performance requirements, but also address future on-demand growth. Juniper also provides best practice guides for customers to minimize risk and speed time to implementation when configuring security solutions for the cloud-ready data center. "Today's channel partners must look at the network as a strategic differentiator that allows their customers to drive new business and unleash innovation," said Lori Cornmesser, Vice President, Service Provider Alliance Sales, Juniper Networks. "The value proposition behind Juniper's new network approach is changing the economics of the network, creating greater opportunity for channel partners to add more value by reducing network cost and complexity for businesses. Juniper is proud to bring its expertise and leadership to the table and actively participate in the CTTA.” The first event of the CTTA will be held at the 2012 Spring Channel Partners Conference & Expo, March 26-29, 2012 in Las Vegas. To participate in the CTTA’s March event, you must register with Channel Partners. Visit www.cttalliance.com for registration information. “Channel Partners applauds Juniper Networks for its support of the initiative and its expanded charter under CTTA,” said Channel Partners Editor Khali Henderson. “The group's initial work proved there is a critical need for information and guidance on a range of disruptive technologies and transformative business models that can only come from collaboration across the supply chain and distribution channels for both communications and IT.” About the Cloud & Technology Transformation Alliance (CTTA)The Cloud & Technology Transformation Alliance (www.cttalliance.com) is a community-based research group dedicated to identifying emerging technology trends, developing best practices and providing guidance on adoption and optimal utilization.
