Enghouse announces SmartRecord integration with Metaswitch SBC

Enghouse Networks Limited, is pleased to announce that their interactive call recording solution, SmartRecord, has now completed integration testing on Metaswitch’s Perimeta session border controllers. This follows the successful integration of SmartRecord with Metaswitch’s MetaSphere Call Feature Server (CFS) in 2014. SmartRecord offers Metaswitch customers a centralized,cloud enabled, next generation voice recording-as-a-service platform, supporting multi-tenancy, scalability and elasticity that can scale from very small to large enterprise business customers. Carriers operating the Metaswitch Perimeta SBC and MetaSphere CFS systems require only a single instance of SmartRecord to provide network voice recording coverage, which makes it extremely cost effective. The integration between SmartRecord and Metaswitch Perimeta utilises the SIPrec protocol to control recording of specified subscribers as their calls traverse the Perimeta SBC. This efficient and secure method of recording does not affect the primary call since a duplicate copy of the call is created and sent to the SmartRecord system for recording and secure storage for each eligible subscriber.
