Houston-based Megachurch Transmits Reliable, High-Quality Video over IP and Revamps Voice and Data Services with Masergy
DALLAS – August, 20, 2013 – Masergy Communications Inc., a global leader in managed networking services and cloud communications, today announced that The Church Without Walls is using Masergy’s global network platform and Haivision video broadcasting equipment to simulcast sermons between the megachurch’s three campuses across Houston. When the 20,000-member church had deployed its previous video system several years ago, each broadcast was rife with artifacts, latency and delay as a result of data packet-loss on the church’s best-efforts network. “Each worship service was a nail-biting experience for our media team,” said Andy Seale, technical director for The Church Without Walls. “It got to the point where we were regularly scrambling our lead technician to our remote campuses to fix our audio and video issues during the service.
