The enterprise is seeking greater agility for its IT and communications capabilities. Service providers are going through their digital transformation to support these requirements. Service providers are employing an NFV and SDN, changing their people, processes, and even their organizations so they can turn around the customer requests quickly.

He points out that in the past it took take days and weeks for provisioning, it is now possible allocate resources in minutes to most hours. The enterprise can now deal with seasonal variations and gain access to resources as needed in an efficient way. He goes on to talk about business continuity and elastic scalability.
