Podcast: RingCentral builds commanding lead in cloud UCaaS market

“We’re listening to our customers and our customers are listening to us”. That approach, according to Zane Long, Global Channel Sales at RingCentral, is how RingCentral has built a commanding lead in the rapidly growing cloud communications market.
A recent report from Synergy Research named RingCentral the market leader for cloud-based communications service based on installed base and revenues – and the company is extending its lead on both measures. RingCentral marked the milestone by placing a front-page ad in the Wall Street Journal. Highlighting the findings of the Synergy report and making a larger statement to US business community: in cloud, we lead.
In this podcast, Long describes RingCentral’s ascent in terms of how the company sharpened its message to both the channel and the enterprise end user communities. Zane discusses the company’s product strengths, especially in having proprietary software, and strong mobility and collaborative offerings. Zane describes how his team has developed a program to eliminate channel conflict, thus enabling RingCentral partners to be more assured, and less distracted in their sales.
We also learn about a just announced program that rewards partners one million dollars for signing accounts of a certain scale.
