Video Guidance realizes double-digit growth in 2013

Increased demand for VG Connect’s cloud services is key to company’s achievements…and to industry’s future

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (February 11, 2014) - Twin Cities-based Video Guidance, a leading strategic visual communications company, today reported that its booked sales in 2013 has increased 13 percent over year-end 2012.
The privately held company attributes its continued growth to VG Connect™, Video Guidance’s industry-unique cloud-based service.  VG Connect’s 2013 sales have risen 35 percent over 2012.   VG Connect is an integration of video conferencing tools that combines desktop, mobile and room systems with HD video, voice, multi-point bridging, streaming and gateway programs into one secure service.
“Our customers want easy-to-use, cost-effective video conferencing technology that they do not have to own, support or troubleshoot,” said Michael Werch, president and CEO of Video Guidance.  “They simply want us to manage everything, so the variety of cloud-based services we offer is expanding and the demand is escalating.”
Another key component of the company’s 2013 revenue growth is ONE CALL, Video Guidance’s managed service program.   ONE CALL’s new sales have risen 13 percent over 2012.  ONE CALL manages an organization’s infrastructure -- gateways, bridges, management systems and end points -- which integrates all of the company’s technology partners, including Cisco, Polycom and LifeSize.
In addition, sales generated from the company’s strategic marketing partners, which provide Video Guidance with greater geographic reach across the Upper Midwest, have risen 127 percent.
New strategic conferencing partners expected to boost 2014 sales
In the 4th quarter of 2013, Video Guidance was selected by two, newly formed, video conferencing software companies – Pexip and Acano -- to become their strategic conferencing channel partner.  Pexip is a cloud-based conferencing software solution that provides personal meeting rooms for any number of users on video, voice and mobile.  Acano’s new platform unites previously incompatible audio, video and web technologies in virtual team rooms.
These two spinoff companies are expected to disrupt and change the video conferencing industry, offering new unprecedented solutions for video conferencing on all devices.  Selecting Video Guidance to become their partner further strengthens Video Guidance’s position as the largest video conferencing company in the upper Midwest marketplace.
