Michael McHugh Joins Q Advisors Digital Infrastructure Practice as Managing Director

Denver, CO - March 6, 2023 - Q Advisors, a global telecom, media, and technology (TMT) investment bank, today announced that Michael McHugh has joined as Managing Director, to support the firm’s growing Digital Infrastructure and Telecom Services practice. Mr. McHugh brings with him over 25 years of experience as an investment banker to clients in the media, communications, and entertainment industries. The appointment arrives as the firm matches increasing global demand for its services with continued growth and activity throughout the Digital Infrastructure sector “We are excited to add another senior investment banker like Michael to Q Advisors’ growing TMT practice.”, said the firm’s founding partner, Michael Quinn. “He brings deep sector experience and a reputation as a creative problem solver to assist our current and future clients.” Mr. McHugh joins Q Advisors from B. Riley Securities, where he led the Investment Banking Group’s media and communications practice. Prior to this, he was Head of the Media and Communications Group at Matrix Capital. Earlier in his career, Mr. McHugh held a variety of leadership roles at Waller Capital, MCG Capital and within GE Capital’s Media and Communications group as Head of the Special Situations team. Mr. McHugh holds an MBA from Emory University where he graduated with honors, and a BSBA from the University of Richmond.
