New BroadSoft User Applications Mobilize Communications

BroadTouch Business Communicator and BroadTouch MobileLink Enable Service Providers to Deliver Consistent User Experience Across Mobile Devices

BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT) today announced the commercial availability of BroadTouch Business Communicator™, a full unified communications experience that will enable service providers to transform the way individuals communicate by making voice, video, business directories, call logs, instant messaging and presence available on a single interface that spans a user's mobile devices and platforms, including Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. BroadSoft also announced BroadTouch MobileLink™, a mobile client that will enable enterprise end-users to make and receive voice calls with their "business identity" over their existing cellular service for "bring your own device" (BYOD) enterprises. By leveraging the mobility capabilities of the BroadWorks ® communications application platform, service providers will be able to significantly extend voice and service management capabilities to mobile devices in and beyond the provider's network, in turn creating new user experience branding and revenue opportunities for the service provider. "Our goal with the development of these two mobile clients is to ensure service providers can deliver innovative, easy to use mobile communications applications that meet the specific needs of increasingly mobile enterprise employees," said Scott Hoffpauir, chief technology officer, BroadSoft. "Businesses desiring comprehensive mobile unified communications (UC) applications will benefit greatly from Business Communicator, while MobileLink is ideal for enterprises seeking the flexibility to extend an employee's business number capabilities to mobile devices for BYOD IT environments." Enterprise demand for a superior experience that spans all devices and communications services was reinforced by the BroadSoft 2011 Mobile Enterprise of the Future Survey, which found 25 percent of enterprise IT decision makers believe desk phones will be replaced by mobile phones within two years, while 62% are currently expanding their enterprises' UC capabilities -- providing Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) with the opportunity to garner significant revenue and customer growth as a result of the shift to the "mobile enterprise." "The survey results make two things clear -- the mobile workforce is quickly becoming a reality, and service providers must address rising consumer expectations for mobile communications and collaboration now, before new competitors move quickly to answer these market needs," said Michael Tessler, chief executive officer, BroadSoft. "Service providers can now offer a branded, consistent user experience across desktop and mobile devices -- unlocking new opportunities to be the provider of choice to the mobile enterprise." BroadTouch Business Communicator and MobileLink enable service providers to address a critical need of enterprise end-users to access UC applications regardless of their preferred mobile device (employer-provided or BYOD), type of connectivity (mobile, fixed-line, etc.), or type of communication service connectivity (hosted or premises PBX). Business Communicator and MobileLink will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress, February 27-March 1, 2012 in Barcelona, Spain at the BroadSoft booth in Hall 2, Level 1 Stand 2.1A12.
