Announcing the 2017 Mark F. Leonard Award Recipient

10/25/17 In 2016, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck introduced the  Mark F. Leonard Award to annually recognize one employee who embodies the firm’s core values—All In, Excellence, Respect and Giving Back—and inspires this behavior in others. Brownstein is pleased to announce that  Eric Trujillo is the recipient of the 2017 Mark F. Leonard Award. As the firm’s Denver-based facilities and security manager, Eric has exemplified Brownstein’s core values in his more than 11 years with Brownstein. In his role, Eric is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of our organization and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies. He works with the Facilities team to meet the needs of the Denver office and provide support to other offices, whether it’s coordinating renovation projects, moving furniture, determining and scheduling repairs, installing artwork, negotiating with vendors and managing waste reduction improvements and safety inspections. Eric will also lead the firm’s new security initiatives as we enter 2018. He is known for his diligence, dedication, resourcefulness, intelligence, sense of humor and compassion. Eric was recognized with the Mark F. Leonard Award at a firmwide townhall on Oct. 24. Shareholder  Mark Leonard, who was honored with the inaugural award and serves as its namesake, and Managing Partner  Adam Agron presented Eric with the award. “Handing this award on down to somebody else, it is obviously a huge honor,” said Mark in a video highlighting Eric’s accomplishments. “You all know this year’s winner. He is an integral part of this firm. It wouldn’t be the same without him. It wouldn’t be the same emotionally, it wouldn’t be the same inspirationally and it wouldn’t be the same physically.” “When I think about Eric, I think about someone who is omnipresent,” said Adam in the video. “I don’t know how he does it, but every time I turn a corner, Eric seems to be there helping somebody out, doing something for someone else. What I love about Eric is he has endless passion for the firm.” Click here to watch the video to learn more about why Eric is so deserving of this award. Congratulations, Eric!
