Brownstein Adds to its Las Vegas Litigation Team

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Jordan Smith and Brianna Smith have joined the firm as shareholders in its Litigation Department in Las Vegas, bringing trial and appellate experience to the firm’s nationally recognized practice. Jordan will be cochair of the firm’s appellate practice.

Jordan was a partner at Pisanelli Bice with a practice focused on high-stakes appellate and complex litigation. He previously served as Nevada’s deputy solicitor general. Jordan has first-chair trial experience and has argued dozens of cases in state and federal appellate courts on topics spanning administrative law, commercial disputes, the death penalty and the Constitution. Jordan has authored hundreds of briefs at all levels, including at the United States Supreme Court. Jordan has been involved in some of Nevada’s most noteworthy litigation and landmark decisions. He earned his law degree at Drake University Law School and his bachelor’s degree at the University of Iowa.

Brianna most recently served as of counsel at Pisanelli Bice where she practiced commercial litigation. She brings extensive trial experience and formerly served as deputy chief, assistant United States attorney for the District of Nevada. Her civil litigation experience includes business disputes, tort claims and health care matters. Brianna has secured successful verdicts in both jury and bench trials. Brianna is also a legislatively appointed commissioner on the Nevada Commission on Ethics. She earned her law degree at Drake University Law School and her bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida.
