In addition, Brownstein was recognized as a recommended firm in Colorado and Nevada. This year’s WTR commentary calls Brownstein “an outstanding firm.” It further notes the firm is “highly recommended. There is a wealth of expertise, and every partner is responsive and strategic.”

Francis vigorously protects, enforces and defends valuable intellectual property rights. For over 27 years, he has litigated trademark, unfair competition, false advertising, copyright, trade secret, right of publicity and patent actions in courts throughout the United States. According to this year’s WTR commentary, he “boasts a well-rounded practice, offering strategic counsel on intricate prosecution issues, as well as skillfully handling enforcement and litigation.”
Grolle specializes in managing large-scale trademark portfolios for gaming, entertainment and hospitality clients. Her comprehensive trademark services include advising clients on trademark selection, clearance, registration, licensing and enforcement. This year’s WTR commentary highlights that she “serves up slick portfolio management, leveraging her expertise to help clients unlock and maximize brand value, ensuring success in competitive markets.”
McDougall advises clients in acquiring, protecting and enforcing intellectual property assets including trademarks, domain names, copyrights and rights of publicity. New to the WTR 1000 this year, the commentary notes that “visionary strategist Lindsey McDougall shines for her precision in crafting and managing global trademark portfolios. Her expertise earns the confidence of leading names in gaming, hospitality and entertainment.”
Rodrigues, co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, works on matters involving trademarks and trade dress, copyrights, trade secrets, right of publicity, false advertising and complex sponsorship, endorsement and advertising contracts. As shared in this year’s WTR commentary, a client said, “She always completes work to the highest quality. She is extremely capable when it comes to turning what would likely be viewed as more generic IP into a very strong IP portfolio on the back of her clients’ strong business performance. You can tell she has an extreme thirst for knowledge, particularly in this area, and uses her knowledge to the advantage of her clients.”
Now in its 16th year, the WTR 1000 identifies the leading professionals and firms that are deemed outstanding at obtaining, protecting, managing, enforcing and monetizing trademarks. It focuses exclusively on trademark practice and is “the definitive ‘go-to’ resource for those seeking world-class legal trademark expertise.
