Brownstein Names Tim Knighten Chief Information Security Officer

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Tim Knighten has joined the firm as its chief information security officer (CISO), bringing expertise in enterprise security strategy, risk management and operational leadership.

Knighten joins Brownstein with more than a decade of experience leading information security programs across financial services, government and complex enterprise environments. Most recently, he served as information security director at FirstBank, where he led the organization’s enterprise security program, overseeing information security, business continuity, physical security and incident response.

“Tim’s experience in both the private and public sectors, combined with his strategic approach to risk and innovation, makes him a great addition to our business leadership team as we continue to enhance our technology, security and governance to meet firm and client objectives,” said Barb Mica, Brownstein’s chief operating officer.

Knighten will be responsible for developing and executing Brownstein’s cybersecurity strategy, strengthening the firm’s risk management framework, and ensuring the continued protection of client and firm data in an increasingly dynamic threat landscape.
