Brownstein Recognized as One of the 50 Most Community-Minded Companies in Colorado

September 23, 2019 - Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 Colorado by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The award recognizes the 50 most community-minded companies in Colorado determined by an independently administered and scored survey. The honorees were recognized during The Civic 50 Colorado Awards on September 19, 2019. “We are honored to receive this recognition. Giving back through our Karma volunteer program and extensive pro bono service is part of our DNA” said Rich Benenson, managing partner at Brownstein. “We connect our people with causes and encourage them to take active leadership roles to improve the communities in which they live and work.” Approximately 70% of the firm’s attorneys and policy professionals serve on nonprofit boards. Karma Committees in each of the firm’s offices help plan and lead “done-in-a-day” volunteer projects and drives to support local nonprofits and those in need in our community. Last year, the firm had more than 400 volunteers provide nearly 1,200 hours of volunteer service through “Karma Projects.” These projects included collecting food and school supplies, making and delivering valentines to kids in the hospital and adopting families for the holidays. The Civic 50 Colorado survey is administered by True Impact, a company specializing in helping organizations maximize and measure their social and business value. The survey instrument consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform scoring process and is the only evaluation that exclusively measures corporate involvement in communities.
