CCA Government Affairs Update on RULES AND GUIDANCE FOR STIR/SHAKEN/ROBOCALLS

The FCC and the telecommunications industry continue to issue new rules and guidance to combat illegal robocalls.

The CCA has prepared an alert that summarizes three recent developments:  (1) a further order by the FCC establishing additional obligations on voice service providers; (2) FCC-issued guidance on best practices to mitigate illegal robocalls; and (3) an ATIS-released standard for certificate delegation.

More detail is then provided with respect to each of these developments in the CCA Member’s Portal under Document Resources/Stir-Shaken-Robocalling Resources.  You will also find the CCA Stir/Shaken guide in that folder.
