Wisconsin’s Largest Independent Telephone Company Will Deploy New Video Storage and Smart-Premise Services in Late 2012
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, September 24, 2012— Clear2there LLC, a leading provider of advanced video surveillance, smart-home, smart-business, communications, and M2M solutions for service providers and enterprises, announced that it has reached an agreement with Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin-based Solarus to provide new smart-home and smart-business service offerings. As part of the agreement, Solarus will leverage Clear2there’s InfiniVi Video Storage Platform and the Clear2there Service Provider Solution as the foundation for home and business monitoring and control services. These include video surveillance, energy management, thermostat control, flood and leak detection, as well as support for a broad range of smart sensors and devices commonly used in residential, agricultural, and business smart-premise deployments. The company also developed a comprehensive business case detailing the viability of a new class of services that further monetize the broadband connection to the customer premise. Key requirements for the solution included simple installation and maintenance, centralized control for software updates, compliance with industry standards for smart devices, seamless Internet access to monitored data from consumer smart-phones and tablets, and flexibility to maximize resource utilization in the company’s Central Office and in the Public Cloud. “The business case that we developed included pricing models that would make the powerful benefits of this new technology both affordable and attractive to our subscribers,” continued Wenzlaff. “The Clear2there solution stood out among the providers we evaluated.
