Cloud Communication Alliance comments to FCC on Shaken/Stir

The Cloud Communications Alliance continued its efforts to ensure that competitive providers of unified communications services are not unfairly disadvantaged by the roll out of the SHAKEN/STIR call authentication framework and related efforts to curb unlawful robocalls.  The CCA filed comments calling on the FCC to encourage industry to develop standards and protocols that will enable voice providers serving enterprise customers to obtain the highest level of verification for outbound calls.  To help ensure that CCA’s customers’ legitimate calls are not inadvertently blocked, the CCA also urged the FCC to require carriers that block calls to implement an transparent process to quickly unblock legitimate calls.
