Communications powering the cloud: Acme Packet Presentation

This quarter's CCA event featured a presentation from Chad Hart of Acme Packet. Acme Packet is a leader in session delivery network solutions. Acme Packet's products enable the delivery of interactive communications—voice, video and multimedia sessions—and data services across IP network borders. Chad's presentation was on how communications is powering the cloud. As communications move to the cloud, communications infrastructure itself must become more cloud-like. New cloud-oriented communications infrastructure includes session-aware load balancers, virtual machine-based SBCs, integrated session management, and scalable session routing, and end-to-end service monitoring. Acme Packet also recently added several new revenue generating offerings for service providers including software-based E-SBC resale, SIP Trunk Xpress for rapidly deploying E-SBCs with SIP trunks, and session recording infrastructure.
